When you need a PDF instead of photos
Many offices, schools, banks and visa portals ask for a single PDF rather than a set of loose images. Typical examples are scanned ID cards, signed forms photographed with a phone, receipts for expense claims, and homework pages. Combining them into one PDF keeps the pages in order and makes the document easy to email, print or upload.
Page size options
A4 is the standard paper size in most of the world and US Letter is standard in the United States and Canada. Pick the one that matches where the document will be printed. Each image is scaled to fit the page without stretching and centered with the margin you chose. Wide images automatically get a landscape page. "Same as image" makes every page exactly the size of its picture, which is ideal for screenshots and digital-only documents.
Ordering pages
Pages follow the order of the files you select. On most systems that is alphabetical, so naming files 01, 02, 03 is the easiest way to control the order. If a page comes out sideways, fix it first with the rotate tool, then add it here.
Keeping the PDF small
Phone photos can be several megabytes each, which quickly adds up in a multi-page PDF. If an upload portal limits the file size, resize the images to around 1600 pixels wide or compress them first. Text in documents stays readable at that size, and the PDF becomes a fraction of the size.
PNG and WebP work too
Despite the name, the converter accepts any image your browser can open, including PNG screenshots and WebP pictures. Transparent areas are placed on a white page.
Your documents stay private
IDs, contracts and bank papers are exactly the kind of files that should not be sent to unknown servers. This tool assembles the PDF in your browser, so the images never leave your device.
File names
The PDF uses the image name for single files, or images.pdf for batches.
Scanning with your phone
Photograph each page flat, in good light, crop away the background, then add the photos here in order.
