How to use the HEIC to JPG tool

What is HEIC?
Since iOS 11, iPhones save photos in HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) by default. It keeps great quality at about half the size of JPG, but many Windows PCs, Android phones, websites and printing services cannot open it.

Android phones receive HEIC files when an iPhone user shares photos by email, cloud storage or some chat apps, and many Android gallery apps cannot open them. Choosing a quality setting
90 percent is the best default: files stay compact and photos look the same as the original HEIC.
Converting many photos
When you have a whole album, select all HEIC files at once. The converter works through them one after another and lists each JPG with its new size. Large batches of high-resolution photos take longer on phones, so a laptop is faster for hundreds of images. When everything is done, download a single ZIP and unzip it into your Pictures folder.
